Elemental Poetry – Spirit

אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה

Begin at this moment,
every moment.
All mesmerizing, dove-soft grey moments
of ever-eluding, evading
Nowness.

I would that
you were always there,
in love.

I am.
That,
I am.

Alive,
alive in every animating breath.
Concocted anew,
lily fresh,
in each waking experience.

I would that
you were always there,
in love.

I am.
That,
I am.

Consciousness divine,
Marred yet holy.
Rippling through shadow
and
echoing in light’s grateful prayer.

I would that
you were always there,
in love.

I am.
That,
I am.

Resting on flapping beats of iridescent
wing.
Soaring on the endless now.
Weaving the hilly trails of
heart-warmth and
heartache.

I would that
you were always there,
in love.

I am.
That,
I am.

For You are the very pulse of all,
Beloved.
Lingering in the crevices of despair and hatred,
Unseized by faithless grip.

I would that
you were always there,
in love.

I am.
That,
I am.
